Redbones is the best place (north of the Charles, at least) to roll up your sleeves and dive in to a big ol' plate of bbq. I *have* been south of the Mason-Dixon line and will say that it does come up a little short when measured against hardcore bbq belt eateries- but still, it gives good plate. (The argument of authenticity is all relative anyway) Cash only- no credit cards- Get there early on thurs-fri-sat or you'll have a long wait, but they have two bars and a good selection of beer on tap (try the wheel of fortune if indecision strikes- but be prepared, you must accept whatever fortune assigns you). They also make an amazing lemonade served in a big ol' jelly jar. Mmm-mm. There's an `all-you-can-eat -here` lunch and weekend brunch too. Along with the usual bbq and home made sausage of the day, they do offer a grilled fish of the day and a roast chicken for anyone `watching their weight.`
